Therapy For Pet People

Articles and Podcast Episodes

Welcome to the Therapy For Pet People Blog

Life can be complicated, especially when your brain works differently, your family relationships feel heavy, or you’re carrying grief that other people don’t always understand.

This blog is a space for honest, practical conversations about the things that can be hard to explain to everyone else. You’ll find articles about ADHD, autism, neurodivergent burnout, family boundaries and estrangement, grief, pet loss, and the deep relationships we have with the animals we love.

I’m not here to give you a perfect answer or tell you there is one right way to handle any of this. My hope is that something here helps you understand yourself better, feel a little less alone in what you are experiencing, and figure out what might actually help.

Whether you’re discovering your neurodivergence later in life, trying to protect your peace in a difficult family relationship, grieving a beloved pet, or simply looking for language for something you’ve been feeling for a long time, you’re in the right place.

Choose from the list below to take you to all of the articles and podcasts on that topic:

Adult ADHD, Autism & Late Diagnosed Neurodivergence

Family Boundaries & Estrangement

Pet Loss, Grief & Our Relationships with Animals
